In addition to technical knowledge the organization that hires graduates in my major and applies to being a lawyer in the future (what I plan on doing), a paralegal position, requires extensive writing and communication skills. Some include; interviewing clients, contacting people for research, writing statements for witnesses, scheduling court appointments, drafting pleadings, documents, and briefs, etc...
As a paralegal it is important to express/write one's thoughts clearly and effectively so that there is no misunderstanding or confusion. The organization that hires paralegals also requires strong business/legal writing skills.
